About Viviane Minhee Jo
Viviane is a legal counsel representing clients for all types of Immigration and Refugee Law matters. Viviane acts on a wide range of immigration and refugee cases including inadmissibility and deportation issues with criminal charges, refugee litigation and humanitarian relief. She has more than a decade`s worth of experience working on immigration and refugee cases.
Viviane holds a Ph.D in Western Philosophy, LL.M in Jurisprudence and Hon. LL.B with distinction, from the Korea University and Yonsei University which are the most prestigious universities in Korea.
Prior to coming to Canada, Viviane worked as a legal lecturer and researcher for a number of leading Law Schools in South Korea and she helped domestic violence victims as a legal advocate at Korea Legal Aid Corporation. For her, teaching legal education is a lifelong commitment. She is a frequent lecturer in Canada on immigration and refugee law related matters.
Currently, Viviane is pursuing a LL.M. degree at Cardozo Law in the U.S.A and she will be called to the bar in New York State in September 2021.
She is fluent in Korean and also understands written Chinese and French.
